ABOUT ME
As the child of two social workers, I was raised on the principles of empathy, self-reflection, and communication. My entire early life was an education in examining and understanding the complex interplay between myself, others, and the world. That heightened awareness of human behavior, motivation, and needs fostered a genuine desire to advocate for others’ happiness and success in both personal and professional spheres.
In school, I was equally drawn to both the arts and sciences. I explored a bit of everything creatively, though I specialized in illustration and painting. As a “why?” person, I was also fascinated by the analytical side of the sciences, especially biology and later psychology and sociology. I graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. Then, in 2022, completed CareerFoundry’s UX Design Immersion certification, with emphasis in UI. With curiosity and a genuine love of the learning process, I approach life as a never-ending opportunity for growth.
Over the years, I have worked in a wide range of industries, always placing human-centered service at the core of my professional life. The field of UX offers a unique opportunity to blend my technical abilities and creativity with empathy and communication skills. I am thrilled to have found my way to this career, where I can be of service to others and address critical issues facing our world through design.
